Message They were measuring the temperature of the air before and after it went through the various IC's. This determines how efficient it is in cooling the air going from the turbo to the intake of the motor. Hence "cooler" of "intercooler".

And thanks to Guapo... I got my first ride in a Twinturbo... at speed... on a race track.
I'll just say 'Damn' and leave it at that.
